FAQs

01/

How many wedding photos will I get?

I consider myself a Storytelling Photographer. I will include as many images that are needed to tell the story of your day. So, with that, it varies greatly from wedding to wedding, so it's hard to set a "one size fits all." The amount of coverage time, size of the bridal party, size of family photos, etc all play a huge factor in how many images will be received.

Elopements and Micro Weddings will have a minimum of 100 photos.

What qualifies as an Elopement/Micro Wedding

There must be less than 40 guests present. These are more intimate ceremonies that sometimes have a small dinner afterwards. This can be local or destination.

05/

What is the retainer?

The retainer is 25% of the total package price. This is required at the time of signing the contract and it secures your date. It is non-refundable, but it can be moved to a new date once if necessary.

Do I have to order prints/products through you?

No, you do not. I have an option for you to order prints through a professional quality lab when you receive your gallery, but it is not mandatory. I do recommend printing labs to my clients so that they receive the best possible quality. I also can provide high quality albums. Bonus: any additional "parent album" is discounted.

09/

Can I view an entire gallery?

Absolutely! Please just reach out and I can provide you with one.

What is with the DJ coverage?

Fun Fact: My husband has been a DJ for almost 20 years. He has covered everything from radio to weddings and is the best around. He can throw a heck of a party, but the best part is that we work so well together. Your photographer and DJ are your two main vendors in control of your timeline (if you don't have a planner/coordinator) on your wedding day. Being able to think a few steps ahead of each other will help your day run flawlessly.

How do I decide on a package?

This will vary for each client, however, I'm here to ensure we get the best package for you and your big day! Let's set up a Zoom chat and go through each one to see which is the best fit. Also, I'm happy to customize a package if you don't see one that fits your needs.

04/

Do you travel?

Absolutely!! Not only do I love weddings, but I love traveling. Putting the two together is sheer perfection. If you are planning  a destination wedding, or are inquiring from out of town, just let me know and we can discuss options and packages for that!

Also, there are some destinations that I will shoot your wedding for FREE if you cover the expense of travel.

06/

Do you allow payment plans?

Sure do! A non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking, but aside from that, you can make payments as you choose up to 14 days prior to your wedding date.

What if people don't cooperate for pictures?

Don't worry, I will help ensure that they do. Sometimes during family photos, or bridal party photos, things can get a bit hectic. However, you have hired me to ensure we capture what we need to. I have a lot of experience with wrangling wild groomsmen, or cheering up a grumpy grandpa.

Also, notifying everyone will be in photos before the wedding will take away the element of surprise. From there, I will just need a couple of minutes of cooperation from them (a little more for bridal party...)

How will we ever get all of these photos done at the wedding?

My job on your wedding day extends far past being your photographer. I will do everything in my power to make sure your wedding day is flawless and enjoyable. This is YOUR day. You do not need to be worrying about the details that will make it all tick.

A few weeks before your big day, I will send you a wedding questionnaire. You can put any and all poses, idea, or must haves in there. I will also ask you to list out your idea of how the day will go, bridal party and names, emergency contact(s), etc.

From there, I will arrive to your wedding fully prepared for anything! I will make a timeline for us and keep everyone on schedule. I'll help keep everyone in line and on time all while capturing your perfect day.

Do I need a Wedding Planner/Day of Coordinator?

Wedding planners, or at the least a Day of Coordinator, are a true blessing! I will help create your timeline and keep your day running smoothly, but a professional planner or coordinator will truly take your wedding day to a whole new level. I hands down recommend Mickayla with Mickayla Rose Events as a Day of Coordinator (DOC). She is phenomenal and the sweetest human you will ever meet! *Fun fact: If you book your Scott as your DJ and Mickayla as your DOC with one of my wedding packages, you can save up to $600!
